Short Answer

Reconciling Personal Preferences and Market Constraints

Imagine a person is deciding how many hours to work. They are currently at a point where their personal willingness to give up consumption for an extra hour of free time is greater than the hourly wage they earn. To improve their overall satisfaction, should this person work more hours, work fewer hours, or maintain their current hours? Explain your reasoning by relating it to the trade-offs they face.
