Information presented to participants in 'Updating with others' study

Members of a group with a likely misperception are confronted with corrective information and told that other members of their group have accepted this new information. 

Positive ISI 

Members of a group with likely misperception are confronted with new information but they learn that others member of the group have denied or rejected this new information

Negative ISI 

People associated with the Democratic party and those associated with the Republican party were given misinformation of Voter ID and voter fraud. 
Participants of each party were then given correction of misinformation by people who were apart of their political party and then of those who were apart of the opposite political party .

This study aims to test the political attitudes and beliefs of voters when presented with corrections to misinformation by congruent and non congruent parties.
