Constructive criticism is when the criticism is perceived in a way that doesn’t seem threatening and is well thought of. 
Destructive criticism is when the criticism is perceived in a way that does seem threating and isn’t well-thought of.

An example of destructive criticism would be where a supervisor gives criticism to an employee based on what they hear from other co-workers.
