Seven-Step Service Dispatch Workflow

A field-service company handling appliance repairs follows a linked seven-step workflow in this order: (1) customer request logging and ticket creation, (2) dispatch board review, (3) job assignment and route planning, (4) same-day emergency triage, (5) customer status updates, (6) technician field reports and photo upload, and (7) shift closeout with preparation for the next day. Each step depends on the output of the previous one. For example, a job cannot be routed until it has been assigned, and the shift cannot be closed until the technicians submit their reports. If a step is skipped or rushed, the mistake carries forward into later stages of the day.
