Being extremely overweight or obese serves as a major risk factor for several severe negative health outcomes. The consequences include an increased risk for cardiovascular disease, stroke, Type 2 diabetes, liver disease, sleep apnea, colon cancer, breast cancer, infertility, and arthritis.
