Sexual Harrassment Scale

MST was measured using a 7 item Sexual Harassment Scale from the Deployment Risk and Resilience Inventory-2. This scale measures:

  • Exposure to sexual harassment (i.e., rumors regarding sexual behavior, crude sexual remarks)
  • Threats for not engaging in sexual activities
  • Sexual assault (i.e., unwanted sexual touching, attempted touching/rape, and/or rape) from unit members, leaders, or civilians during military service

Item responses range from 0 (never), to 3 (many times).
