که او واقف نشد اندر مواقف
دل عارف شناسا ی وجود است 
وجود مطلق او را در شهود است
به جز هست حقیقی ، هست نشناخت 
از آن رو هستی خود پاک در باخت
وجود تو همه خار است و خاشاک 
برون انداز از خود جمله را پاک
برو تو خانهٔ دل را فرو روب 
مهیا کن مقام و جای محبوب
چو تو بیرون شدی او اندر آید 
به تو، بی تو جمال خود نماید
کسی کاو از نوافل گشت محبوب 
به لای نفی کرد او خانه جاروب
درون جان محبوب او مکان یافت 
ز «بی یسمع و بی یبصر » نشان یافت
ز هستی تا بود باقی بر او شین 
نیابد علم عارف صورت عین
موانع تا نگردانی ز خود دور 
درون خانهٔ دل نایدت نور
موانع چون در این عالم چهار است 
طهارت کردن از وی هم چهار است
نخستین پاکی از احداث و انجاس 
دوم از معصیت وز شر وسواس
سوم پاکی ز اخلاق ذمیمه است 
که با وی آدمی همچون بهیمه است
چهارم پاکی سر است از غیر 
که اینجا منتهی می گرددش سیر
هر آن کاو کرد حاصل این طهارات 
شود بی شک سزاوار مناجات
تو تا خود را به کلی در نبازی 
نماز ت کی شود هرگز نمازی
چو ذاتت پاک گردد از همه شین 
نمازت گردد آنگه قرةالعین
نماند در میانه هیچ تمییز 
شود معروف و عارف جمله یک چیز

## English translation
He became aware of the secret of unity
Who did not tarry in the halting-places.
The heart of the gnostic is cognizant of existence;
Absolute existence is manifest to his vision.
He recognized no existence except the True Being,
And thus completely lost his own existence.
Your existence is entirely thorns and weeds;
Cast it all away from yourself completely.
Go, sweep the chamber of the heart;
Prepare the dwelling and place of the Beloved.
When you go out, He will enter;
Without you, He will show His beauty to you.
He who became beloved through supererogatory deeds
Swept the house with the 'No' of negation.
He found a place within the soul of the Beloved;
He found a sign of 'Through Me he hears and through Me he sees.'
As long as any stain of existence remains upon him,
The gnostic's knowledge will not find the form of the reality.
Until you cast away the obstacles from yourself,
No light will enter the chamber of your heart.
Since the obstacles in this world are four,
The purification from them is also fourfold:
First, purification from ritual and physical impurities;
Second, from disobedience and the evil of temptations;
Third, purification from blameworthy moral traits,
With which a human is like a beast;
Fourth, the purification of the secret from 'other,'
Where his journey comes to an end.
Whoever achieves these purifications
Without doubt becomes worthy of intimate prayer.
Until you completely lose yourself,
How will your prayer ever be a true prayer?
When your essence is purified of all stain,
Your prayer will then become the delight of the eye.
No distinction will remain in between;
The Known and the Knower will become one and the same.
