Signs and Symptoms of HIV/AIDS

  • HIV: At first, patients with HIV may experience a flu-like illness, which can last for a few weeks, followed by a period of dormancy/no symptoms.

  • AIDS: If the disease progresses, patients may experience chills, fever, sweats, swollen lymph glands, weakness, and weight loss rare cancers, and opportunistic infections such as Pneumocystis pneumonia, tuberculosis, cryptosporidiosis, and toxoplasmosis.
