Situating Wikipedia as a health information resource in various contexts: A scoping review
The quality of Wikipedia articles in providing health information varied based on the accuracy, coverage, comprehensiveness, and medical content of different articles. Currently, Wikipedia is used by a variety of populations and demographics seeking medical content. In addition to quick searches for fact-checking, Wikipedia is also increasingly used for professional and educational purposes.
