Sleep and Trigeminal Neuralgia

One study reports that while trigeminal neuralgia flare-ups do wake up patients while sleeping, very few wake up feeling pain. The same study went on to conclude that while sleep does not suppress flare-ups of trigeminal neuralgia, it can serve as a brief respite for some patients.
