Sleep disturbances in the context of neurohormal dysregulation in patients with bipolar disorder
One of the symptoms of bipolar disorder is a dysregulation of sleep. The study observed the correlation between objective and subjective sleep disturbances. It observes the changes in levels of melatonin and cortisol. It was found that those people who have bipolar disorder have an altered perception of what their sleep patterns look like.
