Social and Environmental Factors Around Disability
Disability is not solely determined by an individual's physical or mental condition but also by the social and environmental factors surrounding them. For example, a person with a visual impairment may be considered disabled in a society that lacks accessible infrastructure but not in a society where buildings and public spaces are designed with accessibility in mind.
