Social Impacts of Hyperhidrosis

Living with hyperhidrosis can have impacts on numerous aspects of daily life, including personal and professional. According to a research study in 2016, a majority of those with hyperhidrosis are uncomfortable being physically close to others, due to anxiety of peoples' reaction to their sweating. There is also an overall trend where those with hyperhidrosis are 3 times more likely to have a decreased sense of confidence and self esteem, as well as higher depression rates.
