Intergroup Social Projection

Pertains to differences in social projection tendencies to liked others (e.g. friends, family, etc.) and disliked others (e.g. former friends, enemies, etc.).

Projection to Liked and Disliked Targets

Social projection refers to the tendency for people to project their qualities onto others and expect others to have similar traits, attitudes, and behaviors as their own.
