 As more visitors from China began testing positive for Covid-19,
The Korea Center for Disease Control & Prevention (KCDC) rapidly increased the number of local screening centers around January 28.  Following this expansion, Medical staff working on a local and national level were able to conduct 15,000 laboratory tests per day as of February 28, 2020. The Korean government covers the cost for testing those with suspected symptoms or in recent contact with confirmed cases; anyone else can pay 150,000 KRW (~125 USD) to get tested, with fees reimbursable from the nation's single-payer health care system.
The Ministry of Health and Welfare provided a regularly updated list of locations which offered testing which now offers information about the form of testing available.  Testing can notably come in the form of walk through or drive through.  

Testing Policy in South Korea

All South Korean Covid testing sites are required to send information on the number of tests delivered and positive test rate to the federal government.  This information is used to compile a regularly updated list that includes test site, means of testing (i.e. drive through, walk through, etc), as well as broader information about infection rates and availability of testing on a national level.

Public Information Sharing

- A quick reaction to the Wuhan outbreak, with screening, tracing and monitoring of incoming travelers as early as the beginning of January
- As soon as the first case was reported, South Korea turned its focus toward preparing for large-scale testing.
- Mass-testing for free, including at drive-through test centers and for international travelers arriving in Korea
- Mass screening clinics set up to prevent possible Covid-19 patients from entering populated areas such as hospital

South Korea's Effort to Detect Covid-19

- Isolate and quarantine by transformed public facilities and retreat centers owned by private corporations into temporary isolation wards to care for COVID-19 patients while preventing transmission within households, and to relieve hospitals of bed shortages
- A government epidemiological investigation of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, at the origin of a large contagion cluster in the city of Daegu
- Intense and compulsory contact tracing
- Strict digital monitoring of quarantines, with fines and prison terms to deter violators
- Entry bans limited to Chinese nationals with a passport issued from Hubei province and anyone who has visited Hubei province within the past 14 days
- The government intervened in the production and market of masks and other PPE's to minimize the problems of shortage and hoarding as much as possible
