Ribeiro et al. (2020) used difference-in-differences regression on longitudinal Wikipedia access logs, mobility reports, and COVID-19 intervention dates to test whether the pandemic changed information-seeking behavior. They found that as public mobility declined, Wikipedia pageviews rose sharply, with the size and timing of the increase varying by article topic/discipline.
