Summary of Duration of serum neutralizing antibodies for SARS-CoV-2: Lessons from SARS-CoV infection

This correspondence (letter to the editor) posed the question of whether convalescent patients of SARS-CoV were prone to reinfection. In order to answer this question, they reviewed various studies involving serum samples. Through in vitro cell analysis conducted in one of the studies, it was shown that reinfection was not probable due to the already present protection specific antibodies produced by B cells blocking the virus from entering the host cells during reinfection.
