- Patients with HIV and COVID-19 from a government database showed the age range of patients to be 51 y/o ± 11, and primarily male, this age range is approx. 10 years lower than the HIV negative patients
- Only around 60% of patients with confirmed cases had positive indicating COVID-19 tests
- Most patients also had at least one other comorbidity
- Almost all patients recovered within 14 ± 8 days after symptoms onset
- Mortality rate in said patients was like that of HIV negative individuals
- Fewer than 50% of HIV positive patients were actively taking HIV drugs which have been attributed to help treat COVID-19
