The Concept of Divine Omniscience as a Moral Restraint in Hadiqat al-Haqiqah
In Hadiqat al-Haqiqah, Sanai asserts that awareness of God's omniscience—His complete knowledge of the inner secrets and thoughts of human beings—must serve as a direct catalyst for moral self-regulation. When an individual truly realizes that God is aware of their innermost state, they are discouraged from following their base instincts (symbolized by the donkey of nature) and guided to turn away from bad habits. Furthermore, Sanai warns that those who do not respect or acknowledge God's knowledge cannot expect to receive His divine forbearance (hilm).
