The Effects Of Yoga On Parkinson’s Disease
A study was done that compared stretching training vs mindfulness yoga. The yoga group received a 90 minute session of mindfulness yoga every week for 8 weeks and had 60 minutes of sun salutations, 15 minutes of controlled breathing and 15 minutes of mindfulness meditation. The results showed that the participants that did yoga had a better improvement in anxiety and depression symptoms, perceived hardship, and perceived calmness.
