TBI cause harm to the memory function. Medical imaging is unable to test the impact TBI has on memory. The pen and paper method test the ability of the patient's memory. They give them certain tasks in which their memory is being tested. 

Neuropsychologist's tests focus on memory test to diagnose TBI.

Neuropsychologists create a survey of questions and they use the paper and pen methods to ask questions. They also prefer to have the patients be available for face to face meetings. 

Neuropsychologists use different methods to diagnose patients with brain tumors. Neuropsychologist are not able to rely on medical diagnosis methods because they're unable to show many cognitive declines.
