When we focus on the emotional; aspects of a memory, it is more likely to activate or induce the original emotion we felt in that situation. Consequently, this method of recall is likely to produce a more intense and accurate sense of the true emotion felt in that situation. 

Recall That Focuses on Parts of Memories with Vivid Emotional Aspects 

When we recall an event or memory, but not necessarily the emotional aspects of it, we tend to not reactivate the original emotion we felt in that situation.

Recall that Focuses on Parts of Memories other than the Emotional Aspects

Retrieval of memories can focus on two aspects of the situation. These are important to consider as they influence the intensity at which the emotion may be felt. 
- Recall of a situation in which the memory recall focuses on the vivid emotional aspects of it.
- Recall of a memory in which the emotion is not the focus of the situation.
