In Book Five of the Masnavi, Rumi narrates the story of a guest who soils his bed at the house of Prophet Muhammad. In the morning, the Prophet personally opens the chamber door and hides himself so that the guest can depart without facing embarrassment. This narrative illustrates the spiritual concept of Sattari (fault-veiling), representing the divine attribute of al-Sattar (the Veiler of sins).
