The Prophet's Inquiry About Abu Bakr During the Mi'raj in Mosibat Nameh

In Section 8 of the Mosibat Nameh, Farid al-Din Attar presents a brief but profound narrative regarding the Night of Ascension (Mi'raj). According to the poem, when Prophet Muhammad (Mustafa) is in the presence of God (the Lord of Glory), he respectfully asks about God's state. In a striking response, God answers by asking the Prophet about Abu Bakr's state. This poetic device serves to elevate Abu Bakr's spiritual status, highlighting his immense value in the divine perspective and intimately linking his well-being to the ultimate dialogue between God and the Prophet.
