Short Answer

The Proposer's Dilemma

Imagine a scenario where one individual (the Proposer) is given $100 to divide with a second individual (the Responder). The Proposer makes a single, take-it-or-leave-it offer. If the Responder rejects the offer, neither person receives any money. Analyze how the Responder's power to reject the offer, even though they cannot make a counter-offer, fundamentally limits the Proposer's bargaining power.
