Short Answer

The Responder's Dilemma

In a one-time interaction, a person is offered $10 out of a total of $100. If they accept, they keep the $10. If they reject, both they and the person who made the offer get nothing. Explain the two conflicting motivations this person might experience when deciding whether to accept or reject the offer, and how a strong preference for fairness would influence their final decision.
