As this is a very niche and limited sample of participants, it could be worth looking into a broader range of participants to see if these results could be replicated. Also to investigate whether participants associate a doctor's ability to save lives or level of control positively or negatively.

Future Research to Explore Due to Limitations 

There is an extreme disparity in the way the Maternity patients viewed doctors in general and their personal doctors. This suggests that patients form attitudes from previous experiences or stereotypes about medical professionals. However, they form attitudes on their own doctors from experience and the type of doctor they are.

Implications for Health Care 

The participants indicated through their responses a higher rating in regards to both their family doctors and the clinic doctors. The participants viewed them more favorably than their view of doctors in general. The clinic doctors were rated by the participants the most reliable doctors.
