Short Answer

The Role of Democratic Institutions in Economic Models

An economic model of an employment relationship is updated. In the new version, employees, in addition to being able to accept or reject a contract, can also vote in elections that determine nationwide labor laws (such as setting a minimum wage or maximum working hours). Explain why this updated model is considered a more representative illustration of economic interactions in most modern capitalist democracies compared to a model that only includes the right to accept or reject individual contracts.
