Tilburg Frailty Indicator (TFI) is an instrument used to identify frailty in older adults through a self-reported questionnaire regarding physical, social, and psychological frailty.

The symptoms of frailty include a decline in energy, physical ability, and cognition. Oftentimes frailty is associated with older adults its impacts can be lessened or delayed with moderate physical exercise.

Tilburg Frailty Indicator 

Regular physical activity not only reduced physical frailty but also social and psychological frailty compared to low-frequency physical exercise (PA). When participants' behavior over a span of a year was evaluated, a decrease in the frequency of PA increased their frailty score on TFI whereas an increased PA frequency reduced frailty.
