Timothy Geithner

As Chairman of the New York Federal Reserve during the 2008 financial crisis, Timothy Geithner was a central figure in the government's response. Along with Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, he made the critical decision not to orchestrate a government rescue for Lehman Brothers, based on the assessment that the bank was not 'too big to fail'.
