Toll-like Receptors (TLRs)

A group of PRRs that binds to PAMPs and communicates with the phagocytic nucleus to mount a response. These receptors are found on the surface of phagocytes or in interior compartments, the latter of which could be useful for detecting intracellular pathogens.
