Civil and Political Rights

Law created by judges as a result of a court trial's results. Previous decisions made by judges inform the arguments made and rulings taken in cases with similar facts and circumstances in the future.

A benefit or service provided by a government as a function of law.

Also known as legal theory. The theoretical study of law in order to understand its deeper reasoning and the systems and institutions underpinning it.
