Total Value of Coins Model
For a collection of coins that are all the same type, the total value of those coins is found by multiplying the count of coins by the value of a single coin:
- is how many coins of that type are present
- is the monetary worth of one such coin
- is the combined worth of all those coins
For example, if there are dimes and each dime is worth , then the total value of the dimes is . When a collection contains several coin types (quarters, dimes, nickels, pennies), this model is applied separately to each type and the results are added to obtain the overall total value.
