Transitioning (Gender)

Transitioning is a process that some transgender individuals undertake, moving from living in a way that is aligned with their assigned sex at birth to living in a way that is more aligned with their gender identity. This process can involve social changes (such as presentation, name, pronouns, and relationships), legal changes (such as changing gender and name on official documents), or medical changes (altering outward, physical, or sexual characteristics). Not everyone undertakes any or all types of transition.
