Triple Bottom Line (TBL)

The Triple Bottom Line (TBL) is a sustainability framework that posits firms should commit to focusing on social and environmental concerns just as they do on profits. The TBL theory suggests that instead of one bottom line (profit), there should be three: Profit, People, and the Planet. This framework encourages businesses to measure their success not only by financial performance but also by their impact on society and the environment.
