Writing the agricultural sciences policy brief proceeds in three sequential steps: (1) outline the brief to establish its structure (executive summary, introduction, background, methodology, findings, recommendations, and conclusion); (2) draft the brief by writing clear, evidence-supported content into that outline; and (3) revise and edit the draft for clarity, coherence, and persuasiveness before finalizing.
