Steps of Writing International Law Policy Brief: Write the Policy Brief

The process of writing an international law policy brief consists of five sequential steps:

  1. Create an Outline: Structure the document with key sections (introduction, background, argument, policy recommendations, conclusion).
  2. Draft the Sections: Write the actual content, ensuring clarity, coherence, and persuasiveness.
  3. Incorporate Visuals: Use tables, charts, and graphs to illustrate findings and engage readers.
  4. Cite Sources: Add proper references to support claims and build credibility.
  5. Edit and Revise: Polish the language, correct errors, and optimize the brief's impact.
