Writing the philosophy dissertation proceeds through four sub-steps: (1) write the introduction, presenting the topic, thesis statement, and significance of the research; (2) write the literature review, summarizing and critiquing the existing research and theories on the topic; (3) develop your argument, presenting and supporting the main claim with evidence, analysis, and discussion; and (4) conclude, summarizing the findings, restating the significance of the research, and suggesting areas for future study.
