Uninvolved Style of Parenting

With the uninvolved style of parenting, also referred to as neglectful, parents are indifferent, uninvolved, and make relatively few demands. They do not respond to the child's needs, often providing for basic needs but little else. This style can be caused by factors such as severe depression, substance abuse, or extreme focus on work.
