Explicitly Prompting for a Reasoning Process to Prevent Errors

Large Language Models are prone to making errors in complex tasks like solving mathematical problems if they attempt to generate an answer directly. To mitigate this, prompts can be designed to explicitly instruct the model to follow a detailed reasoning process before arriving at a final conclusion, thereby improving the reliability of the output.
