-skin that bruises very easily -thin skin with visibly small blood vessels (especially on legs and upper chest) -fragile blood vessels that can tear/bulge and cause serious internal bleeding -risk of internal organ problems -hypermobile finger and toes -atypical facial proportions such as long, thin nose and wide set eyes -varicose veins

Symptoms of Vascular EDS

Rare type of EDS, but widely considered to be the most serious since it affects blood vessels and internal organs and can cause them to split, causing life-threatening internal bleeding

Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes

The most common kind of EDS, requires a clinical diagnosis through physical tests and examination of past medical history. Diagnosis requires presence of GJH, systemic manifestations of a connective tissue disorder, musculoskeletal complications or a family history of h-EDS, and exclusion of other connective tissue disorders.

Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (h-EDS)

This type of EDS is less common and tends to affect the skin more than other types
