Respiratory viruses are known as the major etiological agents of acute respiratory infections (ARIs).  They play a substantial role in morbidity and mortality all over the world.
Most typical respiratory viruses that circulate globally as endemic or epidemic agents are: influenza virus, respiratory syncytial virus, parainfluenza viruses, metapneumovirus, rhinovirus, coronaviruses, adenoviruses, and bocaviruses.
