wh-subject-question structure is identical to the declarative structure, except that
the first noun phrase contains some wh-word.

wh-non-subject-question structure, the wh-phrase is not the subject of the wh-non-subjectquestion sentence, and so the sentence includes another subject

wh-non-subject-question

wh-question sentences have the most complex structure.

These sentences contain a wh-phrase, that wh-word is, one that includes a wh-word (who, whose, when, where, what, which, how, why)

There are two types of wh-question sentence structures

Declarative Sentences

Imperative sentences begin with a verb phrase and have no subject.

Commands and suggestions are imperative sentences.

Imperative Sentences

yes-no question sentences are frequently(though not always) used to ask questions.

These sentences begin with an auxiliary verb, followed by a subject NP, then followed
by a VP.
