Price posits that understanding crip spacetime can lead to one understanding that access, as it is currently practiced in academia, leads us further from disability justice and that we need to embrace collective accountability to unmake academia and remake access in academia. 

Access Fatigue is the idea coined by Annika Konrad that disabled people are put in a position where they need to constantly help others participate in creating access for themselves and other disabled people and that this demand for help is so constant and taxing that it can cause fatigue and lead to some disabled people not requesting that spaces be accessible because it is seen as not worth the effort.

Candace is a Blind woman who was included in Annika Konrad's framing of access fatigue. Candance had just moved to a new city, and during her orientation and mobility training, she had learned that grocery stores are supposed to be able to provide a store shopper to help her identify items. However, she had been repeatedly denied access to help from a store shopper at one particular grocery store. This caused a lot of frustration and inaccess leading to Candace to give up on shopping at that grocery store unless she had afriend or family member to accompany her because after all the effort she had spent searching for a grocery store where someone would accomodate her, it was not worth it her to explain to the grocery store why she needed help to shop in their store.
