* Altered biological clock.
* Increased melatonin.
* Imbalances in brain chemistry.
* Thinking negatively.

- Also called winter depression, seasonal depression is an increase in depression and suicide counts reported to vary with seasonality
- Often reported during winter months but studies have found instances in fall, spring, and summer as well
