Auditory hallucinations, commonly known as 'hearing voices,' are the most frequent type of hallucination, especially in disorders like schizophrenia. These perceived voices can vary significantly; they might be familiar or unfamiliar to the person. The nature of the voices can range from conversational or argumentative to providing a continuous commentary on the individual's actions and behavior.
