Why Use Psychosocial Treatment for Youth At-Risk for BP

When it comes to intervening early on in mental health (stages 0-1), the outcomes of studies on medication are varied. There are also worries about giving drugs to young people who are only mildly symptomatic, as there could be side effects. Psychosocial treatment, on the other hand, could help manage the effects of various factors that contribute to the risk of mental illness, such as sleep and stress. It may also be more appealing to young people and their families during the early stages of the illness.
