World Happiness Report 2021 Country Ranking 1

There was a significant decrease in all factors measured in the report.  There was a particular impact on income and the economic variables that are measured in that factor.   
Although there were significant increases in average sadness and worry, the report found that overall life evaluations and happiness rankings were stable. The top countries before the pandemic remained the top countries in 2020, so there is little change in the overall rankings. 


Overall Findings of the 2021 Report

•	having someone to count on, 

•	having a sense of freedom to make key life decisions,

•	generosity, 

•	the absence of corruption 

When measured against a base "Dystopian Nation" as the comparison nation.  

Quality Factors of Life

The World Happiness Report 2021 focuses on the effects of COVID-19 and how people all over the world have fared.  With a particular focus on the effects of Covid-19 on the quality and structure of peoples' lives.

The World Happiness is an annual report produced by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network.  The report primarily uses data gathered by the Gallup World Poll, and other additional sources, the study produces articles, rankings, and other figures.  It uses factors gathered from the surveys and other quality of life factors during the formation of the report.
