Abuse and DID
DID is often present in individuals that have experienced some sort of trauma and abuse
- Exposure to abuse to extreme situations from childhood that are coped with by detaching themselves from the event itself that the individuals believe that the traumatic event is happening to someone else.
- Absence of support (social and or familial) can lead to the development of DID.
