Adaptive Bitrate
Adaptive bitrate is a media streaming mechanism where the streaming service continuously tracks the client's available network bandwidth and dynamically adjusts video quality in real time. If available bandwidth drops during playback, the stream automatically steps down to a lower-resolution video stream rather than buffering or stalling, maintaining uninterrupted playback at the cost of temporary reductions in visual clarity.
